The Mister Free’d brand was born five years ago when Co-founders David and Tomas recognized the need to find a new way of eating healthy snacks. They envisioned a challenger snack brand that would inspire a movement towards snacking without compromises - be it health or taste!
We make gluten-free, vegan tortilla chips using simple and clean ingredients. We believe that gluten-free, plant-based snacking should be more than just about choosing a healthier alternative to your favourite snack. Our clean ingredients list with no harmful additives or sugars means you can enjoy our tortilla chips knowing they are good for you and the planet too.
Our company was founded on a passion for healthy eating made convenient. Our co-founder, David, is a coeliac and lactose intolerant and knows how difficult it is to find tasty snacks that also meet his dietary requirements. David’s personal challenge inspired us to create tortilla chips that are accessible to people with similar problems, including those with food allergies, food sensitivities, and other dietary needs such as plant-based foods. We keep our ingredients list clean and short, only including those foods we can pronounce. This means no GMOs or nasty additives, including added sugars.

Mister Free’d tortilla chips are instantly recognisable when tasted. They are made from coarse corn which is soaked in water extra-long to produce a masa which is less starchy and more flavourful.
The chips are cut slightly thicker than normal and fried very lightly, resulting in a chip that is crunchy without being oily and with a strong corn flavour. It is truly a premium high-quality chip
We have developed six recipes with the right balance between “nature”, “vegetable” and “strong” flavours, each of them nutritious and delicious in their own unique way.
